We source locally whenever possible from material and clothing reuse outlets, military surplus, dead-stock and overstock fabrics with the intention of keeping otherwise quality materials out of landfills. It should not be uncommon for Spurdie kits and goods to be reworked and restyled into their second or third life.
To reduce the negative impact of design, iteration and sampling, Spurdie employs virtual pattern making, grading and 3D rendering software for our work.
It's not enough to simply buy sustainably sourced and made products. As consumers and stewards of a healthy people and planet the distance and the means by which our goods travel is equally important. Fast is fatal to our carbon footprint, by default when possible we will ship via ground using recycled, recyclable and biodegradable packaging.
